Update on the surgery: it went well, faster than expected (3.5 hours). My dad and sister have both spoken with the surgeon and seen Mom (she was all covered up except for a tiny bit of her face - they're still warming her body back up.) We now have a date: Tuesday, October 25, for Mom's surgery. I still need to see when they'll need me to fly to Tucson. Not sure if I'll be needed in the hospital while she's recovering, or more when she comes home. We'll see ( Read more... )

My parents meet with my mom's surgeon in about 10 minutes. They'll discuss what needs to be done and schedule a date for surgery. I'm keeping busy around the house but I'm still on pins and needles waiting to know. Once I have a date I'll book a flight.
